The recent Preparedness Class was excellent. I've been actively involved in Disaster Prep for 30 years, and interested in emergency prep for longer, yet I still learn something new every time I attend an SOS Survival class. While the courses are taught by and within a store that retails supplies, the emphasis is on information in general, and much of what is taught is presented as available from many sources. Of course the props in the class come from the SOS store, however Mr. Edelstein makes it very plain that these are examples of what is available in the Prep genre, not only in his store. My impression is that SOS Survival is most interested in getting information out and providing sources to help us get better prepared. I shopped the showroom and have ordered on-line, and over the years I have never been pressured, never been rushed, and always treated with a peer-to-peer communication level. Do I like SOS Survival? I think it is the best source of supplies and information in the Los Angeles area.

This was a great class on emergency preparedness. I thiught we were fully prepared, but I discovered more things we did not think of. One was having cash on hand, which, I understood, but I had not thought through the need for it being in small denominations.
Looking forward to other classes that will fit our needs. Now we are going to

do some more ordering!

I learned a few new things, and I'm interested in purchasing a few items when I can get the extra money. I think he did a good job of overview with some essential details. I wish I could get some of the people I know to get involved in getting prepared. I did talk one 80 year old friend into stocking more food (in the past she had claimed that Jesus went 40 days without food so she thought she could too--I said of course he did, but he was the Son of God, so he was special). So she added some extra food to her pantry and her daughter accused her of hoarding!
