Horrible leadership unable to grasp what young ppl need to actually access goals or lower barriers to success. Loss of funding and layoffs have lead to stressful work environment and no professional development.

Youth are allowed to be strung out on drugs and bring weapons into Access Center. Youth are allowed to have pets urinate and loose their bowels everywhere even in cafe.

Youth and staff have cussed me out and threatened me with bodily harm with no response to my safety from leadership.

The community of Venice needs a better organization that actually understands homelessness to provide service to its youth.

Great opportunity awaits those seeking to make of the services available that. Friendly staff always available to lend an ear. This is a drop-in centre, please consider their offered service to be as much for you there Tuesday through Thursday afternoons. Medical sign up available on Tuesday.. I'm giving this review "Five Stars" with a note; I was driven over last year (tragic), and SPY connected me with Didi Hirsh to find housing a month after my injuries complicated to a point where my knee couldn't bend while other peeps at SPY called my leg purple (it was). Didi Hirsh found me housing about an hour away and still no doctor appointments to provide pain medicine relief let alone a surgery for a missing ACL and MCL.. (0)_(0) .. I made the most of the rest and recoup for a month of cooking myself full well meals while watching five other roommates take loony pills and watch public broadcasts while eating lunchables (that's not my Real ID) before being kicked out for self-medication with California's finest; Marijuana from a dispensary down the street. SPY and Didi Hirsh are incredibly short sighted my injury (actually), pain, suffering and I'm homeless again.. As the holidays passed I saw more people their to greedily (sorry not sorry pigs) expoit gift giveaways than eat the full course meals which saddens me because I use a broken phone and find it continually difficult to make medical contacts let alone transportation between them. Anyway, sometimes they have raw vegetables available from their community garden and they are pretty good. Sometimes they'll have a survey available with gift card compensation. I think the absolute funniest thing I ever shouted from the shower (everyone showers in one shower.. they need more) to get staff to start the water was; "All right, I'm ready to be blessed by all of heavens waters".. In other news u can roll 'n' smoke cigarettes there. Thumbs up if u know me. Extra pills? Extra pills. Any curiosity about how I took care of my pain and injury thus far apart from broken services, I promise you with my last breath I personally rolled and smoked over half a pound of CA OG. This place is horrible , in the beginning I thought they would help but I actually finally got to see their true colors . They are fake and deceptive and really don’t use the money to help kids . I’ve been coming here for over a year and I don’t post reviews online like this unless it’s true and I feel it’s necessary . And I feel both of those things hence the reason I’m writing this . I have two service animals that are well trained and I take all over California to meet different people and socialized them since young . Since coming here I was banned entry because they falsely said service dogs would attack kids which is a lie and that would never happened and to prove that I have over ten different videos to show how well my animals are with children . They put me in the position forcing me that I have to leave my service dogs elsewhere in order for me to come in . I had applied for housing since I first came in and people after me received it but when I checked they said I never had even applied . It’s ridiculously !!! Then on top of that they had lied and said my dog had used the bathroom in the men’s bathroom from what a hearsay told them , I had asked who so I can ask why they lied and they couldn’t tell me. Anyways it’s unfair how they treat young adults and people with disabilities and I really hope that they make a better place for people to truly succeed and help people going through rough times. Based on my experience they do this just for the money and I hope the don’t receive donations because clearly it’s not to help. They just make it look like that to the public but I’m sure if you took a survey of kids who’ve been here and the help they received at least 90% would still say there homeless and struggling !!!! So much for help eh?

Omg what an awful business these people are running and profiting all from the less fortune of others.

I was told that I violated the good neighbor policy when I was sexually harrassed while trying to enter the facility, did not go along with it, was told that I could not enter for services and then went to the Dominos and Catholic Church in the area because I was starving and SPY refused to give me any food even when I informed them that I hadn't eaten all day.

When I called back to see if I could receive services and move forward I informed Sophia that if mistreated or abused that I would not tell anyone in the community in the future and that I was really interested in simply receiving services and she told me that I was being rude and she didnt like that I had so many feelings toward the organization.

I also had interaction with another staff prior to conversing with Sophia and because of the horrible treatment simply told her that the judgment fire of God was going to consume her and was later informed that the staff felt threatened. So also in the mentioned conversation above with Sophia I told her that moving forward that I wouldn't talk to them about Jesus and Sophia was still angry that I said this and I could tell that she was embarassed yet simpky set to blame me and deny everything and that she would not be happy with anything that I said.

Fyi Rob is a lying black man that works as outreach and security and looks like a demon stright from the pit of hell.

The place looks cool but it's not and the reason why is because of the Staff being Corporately Insane and really having no love or heart to help youth in need.

It's sad because I really just want help and not to be taken advantage of and this organizations name is safe place for youth... But when I came expecting a safe place, was denied entry because this place is not safe and staff was upset that I realized this.

They don't deserve a star. They're horrible. They don't let people come in most of the time. They kick people out for no reason. They don't help people with housing
