We just received our Providence storm shelter and we love it! And absolutely loved working with Beth and her husband! Their professionalism and attention to detail coupled with durability of this shelter, deserves all 5 stars!!! We feel so lucky to have come across this company. Now, if Mother Nature decides to spin up her fury, we are ready to take shelter…

We had our 4x6 Providence Storm shelter installed today. Justin and Beth drove it to Texas from Tennessee! The shelter is absolutely THE best on the market. I don’t gamble with my families safety. You shouldn’t either. Get the best, get a Providence Storm shelter! Thanks to the entire crew at Providence Storm Shelter for making such a great product and a smooth install process!!!!!

Pretty smooth experience ordering a workbench tornado shelter. Lead time was decently long 12-15 weeks when I ordered - so order early. They cannot install in pouring rain - plus you don't really want all that extra water tracked in during install - so my install was delayed a week or so thanks to all this rain we've had.

Structurally seems good - some total seam welds - some stitch welding with long stitches. Powder coating seems good. The workbench is held down with something like 18 Titen HDs - shouldn't be going anywhere - hopefully they're never truly depended on.

If you have capability/want a particular look to the top I would suggest doing that yourself or coordinating with countertop people. Their add on top is pretty good (pictured) but I'll likely change it out when I build cabinets around it.

Feedback for the company that would make the process even better: an opt in email/text when the shelter enters different stages when lead times are long - "your shelter is being built!" "your shelter is being powder coated!" or you're next in line etc... That was the main negative of the process: after about 12 weeks I had heard nothing and was unsure if it was still happening. Clearly you delivered on the order.

Edited to add- after reviewing our camera footage, they are covering our flooring repair costs. I appreciate anyone who makes it right, so thank you.

Disappointed to have to leave this review. We received our storm shelter/work bench product yesterday. The product is as expected but during the install, our new apoxy floors were damaged leading into the right garage door. I suppose this was from them unloading directly from the truck onto the floor, rather than leading it in externally on the dolly. I have ring camera footage showing this as well. I let Providence Storm Shelters know (with pictures- it will not allow me to attach here) and they just said “so sorry”.
Our warranty with our flooring company does not cover physical abuse, vandalism or mechanical impact damage, so here we are having to put in more money after saving years for these two big projects.

I could not be happier with my new 6x6x4 shelter. It’s nice to get a quality product made in the USA for a change. Ray and his co-worker did a great job positioning and mounting the shelter in my workshop. Very roomy and built like a tank. The door engineering is incredible . Excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Providence to anyone interested in a tornado shelter.

How often do you have the opportunity to purchase peace?

We used absolutely dread storm days. That uneasy feeling of an oncoming storm could ruin an entire day.

Providence worked with us to build a custom workbench shelter to fit in our small garage. The shelter is absolutely rock solid and beautiful. The workbench style is awesome because it allows the shelter to be functional furniture even when the weather is great.

Now when bad weather comes, the uneasy feeling is gone.

Absolute peace of mind, completely worth the price.

Our experience with Providence was great. Beth and Justin were great to work with on the initial appointment and quote, and installers Ray and Nick were very friendly and knowledgeable. Install took about an hour tops. I know some others have made mention of lead time, and while it took about 3 months or so, they were still about 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend!
