I think the low star reviewers were likely complaining about Smart Start corporate and not the independent Pitstop Interlock installer.

I had the Pitstop Interlock on north Academy install and get me set up with the Smart Start IID and overall had a great experience. Everyone at that location was very friendly and professional, they were very attentive to my particular situation, and communicated and explained each step very well during the entire process. It became very busy at one point and they treated everyone well with the same level of professionalism. In the end I’m very happy with the experience and install and am glad I chose them.

They advertise $89 a month and they have charged me $200 a month every single month except the first two.
Completely false advertising bait and switch strategy. Will be filing complaint to BBB and FTC without a doubt.

The guys here have gone above and beyond to help me out the first couple months of having an interlock device. Kaynon went out of his way to resolve some issues with my car that were not his fault. Dameon and Angel were also super helpful when my smartstart device malfunctioned. Overall despite being a stressful and hard process, the guys here have made it a lot easier and less stressful.

We were having electrical issues with our Jeep Cherokee for over a year and it ended up not starting. We were stuck and a long way from home. Luckily were just next door to Pitstop. We asked for a jump start and within minutes they were outside helping us. When the car didn’t start after the jump they diagnosed the issue, found the faulty part and replaced it. The car started right away and all other electrical issues were resolved as well. These guys are angels and super knowledgeable. Thank you Caynon and team! Your kindness is off the charts.

This place blows. It took them 4 hrs to put an interlock in my car and since being put in I haven’t been able to drive my car because the interlock is too sensitive and constantly tells me I’m humming too soft or blowing too hard. I have had an interlock for 2 years and bought a new car so I put the new interlock in through these guys and it’s been a horrific experience.
