Beautiful hats you can customize. I got in right away and was helped immediately. But $1000+ price tag? Are you kidding me? I’m just a regular middle class person, willing to occasionally splurge on designer products and experiences. Definitely not a hat that every influencer has and can get elsewhere

In response to the owner review - it would have been great to know that while in the store! I told the worker the hats she was showing me was out of my budget, and she did not give me the options for anything less than $400

What's that long line down Galena Street? That's folks waiting to get into Kemo Sabe, currently THE hottest retail shop in downtown core Aspen.
At least you can sit on the homemade bench made from an old Chevrolet truck outside the front door before you can set food in the shop.
The store is high-end (the only retail allowed in Aspen. Really) western wear: hats, boots, belts, buckles, turquoise jewelry.
But the Rocky Mountain-high prices are justified. Kemo Sabe explains it takes 150 steps to make one pair of boots. And they are gorgeous.
Shopping at Kemo Sabe is an experience. The staff is young, good lookin' and knowledgeable. They take the time to make you feel important. They want to know what you want so they can find it for you. After all, their moto is "Helping you find your swagger."
You can customize your own hat or boots right there.
Upstairs there is a private event space. Gaudy and oh so Texas (I spent 24 years in Dallas so I know.)
We fossils who grew up on watching The Lone Ranger on the telly know Tonto called the Lone Ranger Kemo Sabe, or faithful friend. You're welcome

Jackson and RayRay helped my husband and me create the perfect hats for each of us! They were incredibly attentive to details and so much fun! Disappointing is an understatement. I bought nearly a $1,400 hat from this location on Labor Day. I was told the beaver would hold up a lot better than the rabbit (which, I have a rabbit one already and it's held up incredible). I wore this hat only a few times until it fell apart, and that is not an exaggeration. I was told it can get a little wet. I went to a concert where it was drizzling, and it completely lost it's shape, it shrunk on me, the $200 leather band fell off (didn't realize it until after I got home), and it bled all over the hat. I went back to the Aspen location to see if I can get it fixed, and not only was I completely ignored, I was told that there was nothing they can do to help. They tried to reshape the hat, but it didn't do a damn thing. They then tossed on a little "glittered" band to try and rectify it. Because I am not a Kardashian, Kyle Richards, or someone of fame or money, they literally did not give 2 craps about helping an average person like myself. THANKFULLY, I went to the Vail location and one of the reps there was an actual angel and took the time to bring it back to life and rectify the wrong that this location did. Shame on all of the workers there, especially the manager who said their "policy is there is nothing they can do"... I would never go back and waste my time, and neither should you. The very first picture is when I first got it. The rest, well, that is the aftermath.

Waited 30 minutes asking for someone to help get a hat started for me, and when I finally met my sales associate to help me she was beyond rude and seemed like she had better things to do. When you spend over $1000 on a hat you’d think you would be a little nicer. I get it there’s tourists walking in all day everyday and it’s annoying. I also get that I may be in sweatpants and not dressed the part of what you expect me to buy. Very much a pretty woman moment where your immediately judged for what you are wearing and treated differently even though your ready to drop a couple thousand dollars on a hat. I wish she was nicer and more excited to help me because I wanted to buy some more accessories for the hat. 10/10 on the hat 0/10 for the customer service
