Had Mason with A1 come out to give me a 2nd opinion on my mini-split that was sporadically throwing an error code. He left after not being able to give me an answer and said he had an idea but would need to do more research. A full day went by without ac and without a follow up from A1. I called and left a message for Mason. Then, another full day goes by with no ac and no follow up from Mason. I call again, to be put on hold for 15 minutes for Lexi in the office to come on and tell me that my quote is $630. I ask her for what, I haven’t been told what’s wrong…she “breaks down the quote” telling me it’s for a new fan in 10 words or less. At this point, I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of for a diagnostic fee and they have no idea what’s actually wrong, throwing something my way hoping it sticks so I spend more money. I’d steer clear of this company if you want to work with someone professional, knowledgeable, ethical and looking out for the best interest of their clients, because A1 is not it.

I used to be an AC contractor, but I had an interaction with a tech named Angel and his diagnosis was a boldface lie. Tried to extort me into replacing the entire unit, when the capacitor just needed to be replaced.

Told Angel my story about previous service from another company. Within the first 5 minutes Angel found an internal blown fuse and replaced it, then he looked for what caused the fuse to blow, and fixed that, too. Angel also corrected a problem created by the previous tech from the other company. I'm happy to say that the AC is working fine, blowing colder air than before, and cycling less. Through every step, Angel explained what he was doing, gave me options as to what was needed or what could wait. I was very please with Angel's service. Thank you. I spent more with A1 prices, but the end result made me happy.

My heating system wasn't working last week, and it was beginning to get very cold in the house! I called A-1 Heat & Air that very late night, to leave an emergency message, where my house was beginning to get smokey through the vents smelling like electrical burning! Scared as we were, we called the fire dept out here to see what was going on. After extensive searching around, they opened the air handler compartment where they found a burned up harness to my air blower! The very early next morning A-1 Heat & Air called me back, Mason was his name! He immediately dispatched a tech to my house! Mason is a GREAT!!! guy! He was very responsive to the situation I had. He sent out Aaron to rewire the heat/air motor! Aaron is one of their very finest techs they have along with Mason! Aaron did the job with expertise! He carefully rewired everything, explaining every step as he went along! I received 1,000% customer satisfaction! They are VERY!!! honest people with honest pricing! No game playing with them! I WOULDN'T EVEN THINK OF GOING TO ANY OTHER AIR/HEATING COMPANY BUT A-1 HEAT & AIR! WHY WOULD I WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF ELSEWHERE! I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENTD A-1 HEAT & AIR!
