Protection Shelters installed an in ground steel tornado shelter and completed the job within approximately 3 hours. The process of contacting Protection Shelters to the time they finished their work was as pleasant as I could have possibly hoped for.
Chris is very much professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very considerate of our needs pertaining to shelters. I am extremely impressed with this company and would NEVER hesitate to go to them again in the future. A tornado totaled our home, a few years ago, while we were in it. As survivors of that experience, we firmly subscribe to mother nature's power. Now, years later, life's changed, including our housing needs. Dale Zogleman thoroughly explained the ins and outs of steel storm shelters prior to installing one above ground in our new concrete slab home during construction. Beginning with the depth of the concrete pad for the safe room area, to the building of the unit and ending with professional installation, Protection Shelters took charge. We researched other safe haven options and elected to entrust our lives with Protection.

Keep moving, don't hire! I picked out a picture off their web site ( the shelter by the deck , looks like a "flat install", that's what I expected. I did not get that at all, very disappointed, wasted 6 grand on these clowns who tried to bury the shelter with 4" slope at first , till I stopped them then, found shelter should have been 4" deeper to get the "flatter install " per picture from their web site, their back filling method lacks adequate compacting as well and all the dirt sank 1.5 feet down sides of shelter, I guess on top of 6 grand I will have to fix the mess they left me, very disappointed

Protection shelters built a dual purpose community saferoom in Tonkawa, OK. It holds 200 people and even has bathrooms. The building went up efficiently and quickly. They are a very professional company. The final product meets all FEMA requirements. I highly recommend them.
