We've used Efficiency Vermont's programs three times now, once when buying a refrigerator, once when buying a new wood stove, and this last time when having our old cellar insulated and sealed up properly. We're glad they're there! The rebates and other incentives are a great help to us (retired on a very small income,) and the people at Efficiency Vermont have been very helpful answering questions and making sure we're able to provide the info they need. We'll be looking at a new freezer next and also looking into heat pumps. They're a wonderful resource for anything energy related.

Efficiency Vermont was very easy to work with when I sealed up my basement, garage and added more insulation to the attic.. The temperature in the basement was steady all winter. I used less propane to heat the house. The team that worked with me answered all my questions and the team that did the installing were efficient and cleaned up after they were don. I would use them again when I have other projects... The rebates are an added incentive to do work on the house.

While a little hard to make contact with personally initially I found that my insulation contractor knew how to interface with Efficiency Vermont. My contractor and his affiliates guided me from an energy audit of the house to completion on our insulating project and getting our rebate. The work has made our home much more comfortable and dramatically energy efficient. Our costs were mostly covered by a generous rebate facilitated by Efficiency Vermont. Definitely check with them before spending money on new HVAC or insulation projects, etc.

I could never have accomplished getting my home insulated and sealed, switched to complete LED bulbs, made other home changes or gotten a ducted heat pump installed without the help and advice from the folks at Efficiency Vermont. They helped me to get the best products for the best prices and actually reimbursed much of the insulation and blower door test expenses. The even helped me to know what the new operating costs would likely be and how to evaluate that with the expenses I was no longer going to have. Moving into a new era they are the partners to have with you.
